The Typical Taproom Menu in 2025

Serving food in your taproom can be a huge boost to revenue since it encourages longer stays, increases average spend, and appeals to a wider range of potential customers. So, what does a typical taproom food menu look like in 2025? We analyzed the menus of 100 top-rated taprooms across the US (No AI here, we went to every website) to see what they’re offering.

  • In-House Menus: Just over half of the taprooms we looked at had in-house menus (does not include rotating food-trucks, third party restaurants, or taprooms offering no food).
  • Kids Menus: Of the breweries that offer food, only 35% included a separate Kids Menu (not just kid-friendly items). If you allow children in your space, it might be worth considering kid-specific options to clearly signal to parents they are welcome.
  • Health-conscience Options: Salads were the most common item found on taproom menus in our study, and maybe it shouldn’t be a surprise. Simple to prepare, high margin, and a nice alternative to heavier options make them an easy addition.
  • Pizza vs. Burgers: We expected pizza and burgers to be the most common entrée items but were surprised to find that wasn’t the case (only 56% compared to 83%). We also expected a larger pricing disparity, but the average price only differed by $1.31 in our study.
  • Shareable Plates: We counted shared plates as everything from loaded fries to intricate charcuterie and cheese plates. They make a ton of sense in a taproom setting and allow for menu flexibility as demonstrated by the wide range of prices.
